The Chimney Safety Institute of America encourages annual inspections of chimneys, and a great time to do that is warm-weather season. A CSIA Certified Chimney Sweep will look for cracks in the clay tile, gaps between the joints of the tile, breaches in the integrity, and any potential defects.
